During the Character Days, students are encouraged to bring their pledge forms to school to be rewarded
daily or to go to www.FunRunTime.com to enter their sponsors information as well as keep track of their prizes. The FundRunners team will process the sponsor and pledge information and distribute their rewards
based on a grand total pledged amount. The pledge forms will be returned to the students by the end of
the school day, so they can gather more sponsors and pledges. During the character days, we encourage the
students to find pledges(promises) and after the Fun Run day, the students will collect the donations.
Most sponsors pledge a dollar amount for each lap the students run, so the total donation is unknown until
the students attend the Fun Run and run their laps.
Our approach during the character days is developmentally appropriate. We understand there is a difference
between a Kindergarten student and a 5th grader. Our approach to the character days takes that into consideration
and allows us to adapt our approach. We don't pass out the prizes ourselves. We give the prizes to the teachers so they can hand them out at their discretion.
